PRE-SALES CONSULTANT


POSITION SUMMARY

The Pre-Sales Solution Consultant will have extensive knowledge of the application.  The incumbent will work closely with the sales team to act as the pre-sales software consultant.
 


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Act in a consultative capacity with client and/or prospect staff to identify client Sales Enablement requirements that address key business challenges; clearly articulate how SAVO’s solution can meet those requirements
  • Identify and understand key client and/or prospect technical requirements and articulate how they are addressed by SAVO
  • Be a product expert and trusted advisor in the sales enablement space during the sales cycle including working closely with Clients, Account Executives and Sales Enablement Consultants to present and demonstrate SAVO solutions and bring innovative solutions to life
  • Work with the Account Executive to develop strategies for achieving sales goals and addressing client objections
  • Work with Implementation and Account Management teams to transition new clients to the implementation and support processes
  • Respond to customer requests for information including the completion of RFIs and RFPs
  • Build custom SAVO demonstrations by leveraging SAVO best practices and insight into client’s business, and industry verticals.
  • Establish credibility through knowledge of best practices in the Sales Enablement space
  • Research and follow up on technical issues related to sales opportunities; inform, mentor and train colleagues, customers, and partners
  • Work closely with Product Management and Marketing to prioritize customer enhancement requests and to plan and to contribute to future product releases
 


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years customer facing pre-sales experience at an enterprise software company (e.g. Salesforce.com, Siebel, SAP) or 5+ years Sales Operations experience at a Fortune 1000 company
  • Comfort presenting both functional and technical material to clients at a variety of levels including Sales & Marketing Executives, Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing and IT
  • Self-motivation and leadership as demonstrated building sales, sales operations or marketing operations organizations
  • Flexibility as demonstrated in ability to travel as required, to work from home, to work hours required making the team successful. Regional/Area Travel 25-50%
  • Must be an excellent communicator with demonstrated ability to present technical solutions in-depth.
  • Effective live and web-based presentation skills with proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Effective business writing skills with proficiency in Word, Adobe, and Excel
  • Some professional experience, specifically in working with Sales and Marketing professionals preferred.  Skill, aptitude and willingness to learn are required
  • Effective business writing skills with proficiency in Word, Adobe, and Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics or Information Technology is preferred
  • Solid real-world experience in many of the following areas is beneficial:
    • Implementing, configuring and/or administering CRM Systems
    • Implementing, configuring and/or administering SaaS solutions
    • Microsoft Office tools
    • Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Dreamweaver
    • Web 2.0 tools and solutions
